• Foreground location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Collected while the app is open to track activities and site visits.
• Background location (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION): Collected while the app is minimized or the device is locked to ensure accurate recording of travel routes and travel allowances during working hours.
• Approximate vs Precise Location: Employees can choose whether the app uses approximate or precise location.

2.3 User Control

Location tracking occurs only during working hours. Employees can start and stop duty manually, which begins or stops location collection. The app does not collect location data outside of working hours.

2.4 Data Storage and Retention

Location data is securely stored in our servers. Data is used solely for work management, payroll calculations, and operational reporting. We do not share location data with third-party advertisers.

2.5 Security Measures

All location data is transmitted using encrypted channels (HTTPS). Access to location data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

2.6 Compliance

The app complies with Google Play Store policies regarding background location access. Employees are informed about location access through prominent disclosure dialogs before permission is requested.

2.7 Location Information

Sakthi Steels collects precise and background location data to enable live employee tracking, attendance verification, visit confirmation, and route monitoring.

Location data may be collected when:

• The app is in use
• The app is running in the background
• The app is closed (when tracking is enabled)

This data is used solely for internal business operations and employee management purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share location data with third parties.

Location information is securely stored and accessible only to authorized company administrators.

Users may disable location permissions at any time through device settings; however, certain features such as attendance tracking, travel allowance calculation, and visit confirmation may not function properly.
